Office of the Church Clerk

Updated: February 11, 2023

The office of the Church Clerk is the official record keeper of the church. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining the official church membership, recording the minutes of church board and business meetings, creation and distribution of the weekly bulletin/program, and handling of most of the official church correspondence (such as transfer requests, request for test/work rescheduling, etc.)

"Much of the efficient functioning of the church depends on the work of the clerk. Because of the important and specialized functions of this office, it is wise to choose one who can be reelected to provide continuity in record keeping and reporting."
